CRANE POINT PRESENTS “EVENING WITH THE STARS”

The “Evening with the Stars” Astronomy programs at Crane Point Museum and Nature Center will begin again on Tuesday, November 17th at 6 p.m..- 9 p.m. Join astronomers Elizabeth Moore and Jay Elliott, from the Florida Keys Astronomy Club, as they present “Stars and Fireballs on a November Night”. November 17th is the peak for the Leonid Meteor Shower and the beginning of the rise of the Winter Constellations.

Meet at the front steps of the Museum no later than 5:45 p.m. The program will begin promptly at 6 p.m. when the gates will be closed and no further admission will be available.

Cost is $6 per person, children under 6 are free. This program involves a quarter-mile walk to the observation area via an uneven, gravel road through the hammock to the Crane House located on the Gulf of Mexico. Please come dressed for outdoor evening weather. Closed-toe shoes preferred and bring binoculars and a flashlight if you have them. Sorry, no pets allowed.
