Jeb Bush Returns To Florida To Recharge Campaign

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (AP) — GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush has returned to Florida to recharge his struggling campaign.

He spoke and took selfies with supporters at an outdoor rally Friday night before attending a high school football game in southwest Florida.

Bush told the crowd that American voters are looking for “authenticity” in a presidential candidate and “not a big personality on the stage.”

He said he can fix things in America as he did as a two-term governor in Florida, echoing his new campaign slogan, “Jeb Can Fix It.”

Bush visited the same community as governor in 2004 after it was devastated by Hurricane Charley. He was widely praised for his leadership in a series of storms that struck the state in 2004-05.
