KEYS’ ENERGY POWER COST ADJUSTMENT CHARGE AND BASE RATE

TO DECREASE IN OCTOBEKeys Energy Services’ (KEYS) customers will experience a 1.68-percent decrease in their October energy bills, as a result of decreased energy costs and a half-percent base rate decrease, if their usage remains the same as September.

KEYS’ base rate as of October will be $0.1220 per kilowatt-hour* (kwh), compared to $0.1226 per kwh in September. The Power Cost Adjustment (PCA) charge for the month of October will be negative $20.03 per 1,000 kwh, compared to negative $18.71 per 1,000 kwh in September. The PCA charge recovers the fluctuating cost of energy and will appear as a credit to customers since it is less than originally forecast.

An average KEYS’ residential customer consuming 1,000 kwh of electricity during the month of October will see an energy bill for approximately $117.00, in September this same consumption would have resulted in a bill of $119.00.
