REEF RESTORATION and OCEAN WARMING TOPIC OF TALK

 

January 15 at 12:30, Meaghan Johnson, the Marine Science Coordinator for The Nature Conservancy in the Florida Keys, will explain programs to develop resilience–based management strategies for coping with ocean warming and other stresses on Florida’s coral reefs.  Cultivating staghorn and elkhorn corals (Acropora genus) for transplanting in the Dry Tortugas National Park is one that Meaghen manages.
