When is Chief Donie Lee going to admit that he has some rogue officers on his police force? We all saw the Colombian tourist’s video of the incident and heard Officer Lovett’s bragging remark about dropping like a f-ing bomb onto the back of Charles Eimers. We all saw the sand in his nose and that he seemingly was deceased as the officers finally turned his body over. What is it going to take for Donie Lee to say enough is enough and get rid of these officers? Or for the city to take action against Donie Lee if he continues to do nothing but say they are innocent, when clearly they were the direct cause of this innocent unarmed and unresisting man’s death on South Beach that fateful Thanksgiving Day? I, too, have mixed feelings about the settlement. $900,000 is not going to bring back this beloved father and grandfather to the Eimers’ family, nor is it going to relieve the stench over the beautiful island of Key West.
Everyone knows that the police officers WAY overreacted! Everyone should understand why? BUT, just because someone refuses to stop, does not give the police the right to over react, the way normal people would do! They are professionals and are, as they should be, HELD TO A HIGHER STANDARD!
Let’s get some reasonable standards for police, along with the emotional training for containing their personal feelings (temper).

Sounds like one needs to stay away from Key West. The police kill innocent people.
