FKCC Launches New Website

 

Florida Keys Community College launched a new website this week. Synonymous with the College’s “Island Living, Island Learning” tagline, the interactive website highlights the benefits of small classes and unique Keys location in a format that can be easily accessed via multiple devices.

The navigation structure allows the College’s various audiences to easily find the information they seek. Website visitors can also enjoy exploring FKCC’s various programs and offerings through videos, an interactive map, and social media. The site’s responsive web design enables users to interact with an optimally sized and proportioned version of the website on a smart phone, tablet, or a desktop computer.

To appeal to prospective markets outside of the Keys, the new website prominently displays a live weather feed as well as a webcam that broadcasts the waterfront Key West Campus. The webcam will also be available at Fla-Keys.com/webcams.

With the introduction of the new website, the College also unveils its new “Success Calculator.” The interactive tool allows current and prospective students to input their own real and hypothetical information and plans to determine the expected time it will take to complete a degree as well as the estimated costs and ultimate lifetime earnings associated with earning a degree. Students are encouraged to play with changeable life scenarios to help them plan better and make more informed decisions about college.
