The young, Midwestern star duo of Pico and Chown (Miriam Pico and David Chown) will be featured in an elegant Little White House musical evening on Thursday, March 27, and Friday, March 28, with the 8 p.m. show preceded by a 7:30 cocktail party with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar, announced Paul Hilson, LWH Director of Special Events.

Key West Harry S. Truman Foundation produces the intimate evenings, with refreshments in the authentically restored dining room and Florida room and the entertainment in the living room. Chown will be playing Truman’s own piano.

The duo, who hail from Michigan, have “been dazzling audiences together since 2007,” Hilson said.  “They recently performed at the prestigious Sanfilippo Estate concert series near Chicago and have recorded two CDs together, including the highly acclaimed S’Bout Time, and their newest release, Somewhere Only We Know,” he said.

“Audiences are continually wowed by their ability to breathe new life into old standards, add new twists on pop, rock and blues songs, and rock out on Miriam’s originals. She has been writing songs and performing since she was barely able to walk, won the Kawai Searching for a Star competition in 2008 and recently starred in a regional theater production of Evita. David has been playing piano professionally for more than 25 years, leads a popular band, the Lookout Cats, and toured Europe for a year, playing concerts and clubs.”

The Harry S. Truman Little White House is located at 111 Front St., easiest access is by foot through the Presidential Gates on Whitehead at the foot of Southard St. Tickets at $60 are available on Keystix.com and, if still available, at the door.
