Work will continue on the North Roosevelt Boulevard Project this week – as long as the workers have the equipment to do the job.

Overnight Thursday, more than $5,000 worth of parts were stolen from the Salt Run Chanel Bridge site, according to project spokesperson Dean Walters, who said the parts were specific in joining sewer and water lines at that site. He added that the theft will delay work on the project, which has a completion date in July.

Because of drainage and utility work from the bridge to Eisenhower Drive, there will be periodic lane closures this week both during the day and night.

Today through Thursday, the northbound lane of Eisenhower will be closed to traffic for staging of filtration tanks for the waterline hookup. Traffic will be detoured around on Palm Avenue to Eaton Street to Eisenhower.  Residents can use side streets such as Florida Street or Georgia Street; however, these roads will not be signed as a formal detour. Southbound traffic on Eisenhower will not be affected.

On Monday and Tuesday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Seventh Street will be closed to traffic at N. Roosevelt  for sewer work. Residents will be able to access Seventh from side streets and Flagler Avenue.

Monday and Tuesday nights from 9 p.m. until 6  a.m., inbound traffic on N. Roosevelt will be closed at the intersection of Palm Avenue and detoured onto Palm to Eaton to Eisenhower.
