Retired Florida Keys businessman Danny Coll has announced he will seek election to the Monroe County Commission District 2.

 

“Helping my community through volunteer service has always been my passion,” said Coll. Serving my county on its Commission is the culmination of that public service. I will listen to you and act with common sense on the issues. I would be honored to succeed George Neugent as Commissioner.”

 

 

 

 

 

Coll is the president elect of Lower Keys Rotary and a former volunteer firefighter, the past president of the Big Pine Key Fire Department and was awarded Firefighter of the Year in 2003.

 

 

 

 

 

Prior to the privatization of TraumaStar, Coll was a flight deputy for the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office aviation department.

 

 

 

A licensed EMT and Paramedic, Coll is the founder of Keys EMS. He is the former owner of NAPA auto parts on Big Pine Key.

 

 

 

 

 

Raised in Miami, Coll, 55, lives on Cudjoe Key. “I look forward to the upcoming campaign as an opportunity to meet my neighbors and a positive way to address their hopes and concerns.” Coll said.
