Barbara Hammer, Lesbian Film pioneer, Featured At Tskw
Barbara Hammer, who the Studios of Key West Program Director Elena Devers calls “a very special filmmaker who will be in residence at TSKW in January,” will be screening two of her short films at the Tropic Cinema on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 7 p.m., with a pre-screening reception at 6 p.m.
Hammer recently been hnored by a retrospective at MOMA, the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, and is renowned for creating the earliest and most extensive body of avant-garde films on lesbian life and sexuality.
