​Women’s March Florida Keys Chapter to hold Equality March and Rally for Unity and Pride June 11

(Key West, FL — June 2, 2017)  The Equality March for Unity and Pride is a grassroots movement taking place June 11 in more than 80 cities across the world, including Washington, D.C., that will mobilize the diverse LGBTQ+ communities to peacefully and clearly address concerns about the current political landscape, and how it is contributing to the persecution and discrimination of LGBTQ+ individuals. In Key West, the Equality March immediately follows the annual Pride Parade, and will end with a Rally at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

Who: Women’s March Florida Keys Chapter, local residents, and visitors march in solidarity with 80 other cities across the country. Stuart Milk, a global LGBTQ+ human rights activist, and County Commissioner Heather Carruthers will speak at the rally.

What: Equality March and Rally for Unity and Pride

When: Sunday, June 11th, 4:30 p.m. gather for march, 6:30 p.m. rally. Rally will immediately follow march.

Where: Meet outside the Southernmost House at 1400 Duval St. at 4:30 p.m for the Equality March. The march starts there and ends outside St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 401 Duval St., which is the rally location.
