Womankind Medical Center hosts evening celebration to honor community support
Womankind Medical Center invites the public to an evening celebration on Friday, November 20 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm at the center’s 1511 Truman Avenue location to honor those whose contributions make much-needed affordable health care accessible to locals. The catered event includes wine, beer, and hors d’oeuvres from Stock Island Yacht Club and Marina and a special commemoration to The Edward B. and Joan T. Knight Foundation, Bryan Green and Tony Konrath, and Richard Kliteneck, who have laid the framework to help make their current location their permanent home.
“Womankind exists to serve our community and our community makes sure we exist,” says Womankind Executive Director Cali Roberts. “It’s a beautiful, symbiotic relationship that I am thrilled to celebrate.”
Since 2001, Womankind has provided locals high-quality family planning and non-emergency convenient care with clinical services and patient education programs bolstered by community partnerships and resources. Their sliding scale and wide roster of accepted insurances help eliminate barriers so people can get the health care they need and deserve.
Support from donors such as Marion and Jules Levine, Keys Open Doors, The Sunlight Time Foundation, United Way of the Florida Keys, Ocean Reef Community Foundation, Community Foundation of the Florida Keys, and many individuals have helped make this all possible.
Sponsored in part by Stock Island Yacht Club and Marina. For more information, contact Executive Director Cali Roberts at 305-320-0608 or visit WomankindKeyWest.com. Womankind is located at 1511 Truman Avenue, across the street from Bayview Park, and is open Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
