Woman arrested for murder

A 33–year-old Big Coppitt Key, Florida woman was arrested Saturday following the shooting death of 30-year-old Tyler Kinnon Nulisch at their residence.

Brittany Nicole Holbrook was charged with murder.

The Sheriff’s Office was called to a house on Avenue F on Big Coppitt Key at approximately 2:45 a.m. regarding a medical emergency. Deputies arrived to find Nulisch with an apparent gunshot wound to his back. A 9mm handgun and a 9mm bullet casing were found nearby. Nulisch was taken to Lower Keys Medical Center on Stock Island where he died.

An apparent domestic argument between Nulisch and Holbrook preceded the shooting.

A male roommate at the residence was not charged in the incident.
