Woman arrested after large amount of drugs found

A 38-year-old Miami woman who was in protective custody at the Guidance/Care Center in Marathon was charged with possessing a large amount of drugs on Monday.

Dai Trang Thi Ho was charged with possession of amphetamine, controlled substances and marijuana as well as trafficking in cocaine.

The drugs were found in Ho’s personal bag/belongings by center staff.

In all, Ho was found to be in possession of:

  • 104.4 grams of powder cocaine
  • 5.9 grams of crack cocaine
  • 137.5 grams of marijuana in the form of leaf marijuana and edible brownies
  • 11.9 grams of amphetamine
  • 5.8 grams of Psilocybin mushrooms
  • 0.2 grams of LSD

Deputies were called to the Guidance/Care Center at approximately 2 p.m. by employees who found the drugs.

Ho was taken to jail.

Ho was taken to the center late Sunday night after a car she was driving was towed and she made remarks to a towing company employee, prompting that employee to worry about her well-being.
