WLRN Public Radio invites Florida Keys residents to join Live Broadcast

Miami, FL – August 9, 2019 – WLRN Public Radio invites Florida Keys residents to join the conversation in a special edition of Sundial: Changing Currents -The Fight To Save South Florida’s Marine Life, broadcast live from the Studios of Key West on Thursday, August 22, 2019, from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M.  Tickets for Sundial are complimentary, but limited.  To register for seats, visit tskw.org. 

Audience members are invited to join Luis Hernandez, host of WLRN Public Radio’s daily program Sundial, along with a panel of experts, to examine the risks and explore the solutions that can help save Florida’s sea life. South Florida’s marine life faces serious challenges. Our coral reefs to our sea turtles have been dramatically impacted by sea level rise, development and climate change.  The program panelists will include: WLRN’s Florida Keys reporter Nancy Klingener, Monroe County Commissioner Heather Carruthers, science director of Audubon Florida Jerry Lorenz, founder and director Richie Moretti and manager Bette Zirkelbach of Marathon’s Turtle Hospital.

Guests are encouraged to join the conversation during this live radio broadcast from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M., then stay for a meet and greet with program guests and the Sundial team.  Due to the nature of live radio broadcasting, guests must be in the theatre and seated no later than 12:40 P.M.

Sundial will be broadcast live on 91.3 WLRN and 91.5 WKWM in the Florida Keys from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M., produced directly from the Studios of Key West – home of WLRN’s Southernmost news bureau. The program will re-broadcast again at 8:00 P.M.
