Welcome Ceremony: United Airline’s “First Flight” from Newark to Key West

KEY WEST, FL – Key West International Airport is hosting a welcome ceremony for the arrival of United Airline’s “First Flight” from Newark’s Liberty International Airport to Key West.

When: Friday, Dec. 16, 1:00 p.m.

Where: Conch Flyer Beach Bar, Key West International Airport

Due to the necessity for TSA airport screening and the size of the venue, please limit the attendees to one reporter and one photographer per media outlet. Attendees must RSVP by Dec. 6, providing their name, address and date of birth.

Attendees cannot bring TSA prohibited items to this event. It also will be necessary to bring state or federal photo identification, the same provided to clear security for a domestic flight.

VIP parking will be provided on the second level in front of the departures terminal.

Program Schedule:

1:00 – 1:30 – – Meet and greet in Beach Bar area

1:30 – Airport Director & Key Officials provide brief remarks

1:40 – United Airlines flight from Newark arrives

1:45 – Deplaning passengers are greeted by group

1:55 – Beach Bar area open for meet and greet with departing passengers

2:20 – United Airlines flight to Newark departs

2:30 – Event concludes
