Weekend traffic advisory for Big Pine Key

The annual Big Pine & Lower Keys Nautical Expo is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday. It is held on the grounds of the Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce at Mile Marker 31 on Big Pine Key. Motorists are reminded U.S. 1 traffic will be slow during those times due to increased traffic. Motorists are asked to be patient and be extra cautious of pedestrians crossing the highway near that area due to limited parking.
