Wanted man arrested following domestic incident

A 60-year-old Marathon, Florida man with a warrant for a previous cocaine-related violation was arrested Saturday and now faces additional cocaine charges.

Stacy Robert Jones was charged with violation of probation, battery, possession of cocaine, and resisting arrest.

The Sheriff’s Office was called to a Sombrero Beach Road residence at approximately 2:02 a.m. regarding a domestic incident. Stacy attempted to flee but retreated into the residence upon the Sheriff’s Office arrival. An adult female at the residence stated Jones grabbed her by the neck during an argument. There were no life-threatening injuries reported.Jones was found hiding in a bedroom closet. Approximately 2.1 grams of crack cocaine was found in his possession.
