UF/ IFAS Monroe County Extension Service Florida Master Gardener Learning Program Beginning in February- Registration Open!
MONROE COUNTY, FL –
UF/ IFAS Monroe County Extension Service will be offering the Florida Master Gardener learning program, scheduled to run every Thursday from February 22 to April 25, 2024. This comprehensive program, spanning eight weeks long will delve into various horticulture topics such as botany, entomology, Florida friendly landscaping, plant identification, pesticide safety, turfgrass management, vegetable gardening, proper pruning practices, palm biology and diagnosing plant problems.
Program Details:
- Dates: February 22 to April 25, 2024
- Day: Thursdays
- Time: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Locations: Monroe County via zoom and in-person at the Marathon Library
- Cost: $200 includes all class materials
The training course will feature a dynamic mix of live online presentations, person lectures and field trips. Expert guest lecturers, including Extension Specialists and other Extension agents, will also share their insights.
