Two people arrested for drugs

Two Marathon, Florida people were arrested Friday on drug trafficking charges after approximately 1.3 ounces of cocaine, 14.9 grams of amphetamine, and seven grams of marijuana, were found following a traffic stop at 6:15 p.m. on U.S. 1 in Marathon.

  • Julius Handsome Hepburn, 35, was charged with multiple drug-related crimes. He also had active warrants for his arrest regarding drug-related sales.
  • Jessica Anne Mojica, 24, was also charged with multiple drug-related crimes as well as child abuse due to three children present in the vehicle as well as the drugs at the time of her arrest.

K9 Coral alerted to the presence of drugs and a subsequent search revealed the narcotics. Both suspects were taken to jail.

The Florida Department of Children and Families was notified.
