Two men arrested on drug charges

Two Big Pine Key, Florida men were arrested Tuesday following a traffic stop in which pills and methamphetamine were found.

Robert Alan Stotts, 49, and Louis Van De Gejuchte, 46, were both charged with trafficking in amphetamines.

The Sheriff’s Office stopped a Jeep near 26th Street on U.S. 1 in Marathon for suspected illegal window tint. K9 Mako subsequently alerted to the presence of narcotics.

Approximately 14.6 grams of methamphetamine was found in Stotts’ pocket.

An additional 14.4 grams of methamphetamine and approximately 20 Adderall pills without a prescription were found in the vehicle.

Both men were taken to jail.
