True Cost of LEED Forum
Interested in greening your home or business?
A “True Cost of LEED” forum is being hosted by the local chapter of the US Green Building Council in partnership with the City of Key West Sustainability Advisory Board. Professionals and public alike are invited to join on Saturday, February 18th from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at City Hall, 1300 White Street. The public can learn from three green-building experts about the secrets to good planning and design.
After the presentations, City staff will lead a Green Tour of the building and grounds to highlight all of the aspects that work together to make this one of the greenest buildings south of the Mason Dixon line. City Hall is tracking not only to be the third LEED Platinum Historic Renovation in the southeast United States, but also the first public building in the area to do so.
Free refreshments afterwards. Continuing education credits are available through USGBC and AIA.
