Commissioners Celebrate the Re-Opening of the Fort East Martello Parade Grounds

Center left, City of Key West Mayor Teri Johnston, and right, Monroe County Mayor Michelle Coldiron, perform a ceremonial ribbon cutting on Thursday, November 4, 2021, marking the public re-opening of the Fort East Martello parade grounds, located at 3501 S. Roosevelt Blvd., following an extensive $530,000 Monroe County restoration and enhancement project conducted in collaboration with Key West Art & Historical Society and supported by the Monroe County Tourist Development Council, benefactors Anne McKee, the late Ross McKee, the late Margo Golan, Key West’s Save A Tree, and many other individual donors.
