There’s No Place Like Home: Key West Burlesque Performance Season Kicks Off as Planned
Following our wild and harrowing ride with Hurricane Irma, the Key West community has come together again in the spirit of its “one human family” motto, underscoring the words of beloved character Dorothy, “there’s no place like home.” Key West Burlesque producer Christa Hunt (aka Tatah Dujour) has committed to bringing the troupes season of shows to the stage as planned, beginning with “Taking it Off to See the Wizard: A Burlesque Parody,” which runs Oct 20-27 at the Waterfront Playhouse, 310 Wall Street, Key West. Featuring a dazzling hit-list of local performers and visiting guest-stars, including Fort Lauderdale’s Miss Jenna Beth, known as “The Sparkling Jewel of South Florida” in the part of Dorothy, “Taking it Off to See the Wizard: A Burlesque Parody,” promises a lighthearted evening of naughty-bawdy adult fun. Tickets available at waterfrontplayhouse.org or call their box office at 305-394-7445. Sponsored in part by the Monroe County Tourist Development Council.
