THE TEMPERATURE IS RISING AT THE WATERFRONT PLAYHOUSE
With the opening of Sex With Strangers at The Waterfront Playhouse, the temperature has definitely gotten hotter! Written by Laura Eason (House of Cards) the show will continue through April 27.
Suggested for mature audiences, Sex With Strangers tells the story of Olivia, played by Chicagoan Melanie Keller, an attractive, talented and under-appreciated writer just one big step away from success and Ethan, played by Tim Torre, a hot young writer whose online journals about his “sexcapades” with strangers have become the buzz of the blogosphere. When unexpectedly trapped in a secluded cabin during a winter storm, opposites attract. The chemistry is hot and the sex electric as they hop in and out of bed – a lot! This story of ….”good sex and bad faith…” as their literary futures become intimately intertwined, both writers confront who they are, what they really want and how much they are willing to change to get it.
Sex With Strangers is directed by Patrick New, designed by
Michael Boyer, lighting design by Kim Hanson and stage managed by Peggy Montgomery.
