The Big Pine Bocce League 2024 Season

Will Begin on Tuesday, January 16

The number of bocce teams in our League has steadily grown over the last few years and our 2023 Winter season was one of our largest with 26 teams. We again plan to have League play on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights beginning mid-January until the end of April.

Anyone who is curious about bocce but doesn’t know much about the game or how to get involved in league play should attend our Bocce Community Day on Saturday, January 6th @ 10:00 am to Noon at the Big Pine Park at the foot of Sands Road.

2024 KEY BIG PINE BOCCE LEAGUE DATES:

  • Saturday, January 6th @ 10:00 am – Community bocce day -everyone is invited. Please come and learn what the game is all about!
  • Tuesday, January 9th @ 6:00 pm – Team registration,  Captain’s meeting, and Board elections – Location: Big Pine Moose Lodge, 3681 Wilder Rd. BPK (enter through the side door of the building.
  • Tuesday, January 16th @ 6:00 pm – League play begins, Tues, Wed. & Thurs through the end of April.

Monroe County has resurfaced the bocce courts at Big Pine Key Park at the foot of Sands Road with the slate/oyster shell surface that will require much less maintenance to keep them in optimal playing condition. This will be the first season on the new surface.
