Texas man dies in diving incident

A 64-year-old Trinidad, Texas man died Wednesday after a dive on the SS Benwood Wreck off Key Largo.

Blake Willis was removed from the water unconscious at approximately 10:15 a.m. by Sea Dwellers Dive Center crew. CPR began immediately.

Willis was brought to docks near Marina Avenue at Mile Marker 99 to waiting paramedics.

Willis was taken to Mariners Hospital in Tavernier where he was pronounced dead.

Foul play does not appear to be a factor in the incident.

Autopsy results are pending.
