Teenager arrested for battery  

A 15-year-old Key Largo, Florida male was arrested Tuesday for injuring a Coral Shores High School teacher while fighting with another student.

Heikel Castro Moro was charged with felony battery on an educational employee and misdemeanor battery.

“Violence will not be tolerated in our schools and I will continue to take appropriate steps to ensure the safety of all students and staff,” said Sheriff Rick Ramsay.

Moro was fighting with another male at approximately 11:40 a.m. Monday when he pushed the female teacher out of the way, causing her to fall. The teacher was taken to Mariners Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A warrant was obtained and Moro was arrested Tuesday.
