Susann D’Antonio’s “View Point” at Frangipani Gallery Friday Dec 2

Susann D’Antonio’s new show “View Point” will be on display at Frangipani Gallery for the month of December with the opening on December 2, 6-9 PM during the Upper Duval First Friday walk.

This series of work “View Point” is made up of encaustic paintings and assemblages. The paintings are encaustic mixed media seascapes that represent our external views. Encaustic painting is done with pigmented beeswax on a heated palate that is painted onto a wood panel.

The assemblages focus on the internal, abstract landscapes within. They are made up of found objects, paper, paint and encaustic monotypes. Within these architecturally based assemblages there is a exploration of pathways and directions within the small worlds.
