STUDENT PROGRESSION AND SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PLANS TOP PRIORITIES FOR DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD MEETING

WHAT: School Board Members plan to discuss School improvement and Student Progression plans and Head Start readiness.
Superintendent Mark Porter said as the District continues to recover, student achievement and empowerment will continue to be the main goal. “We are serious about our students receiving quality education even in the midst of recovery. To have these items workshopped at our upcoming meeting means we will continue to conduct business as usual and serve our students.”
Board Members will also meet for a closed session.
Horace O’Bryant School will have the chance to dedicate the Production Studio on campus. Officials also plan to recognize employees and students for GEMS, or their Great Educational Moments in Monroe County Schools.
School Board Members plan to vote on a contract with Arthur J. Gallagher Property and Casualty Insurance Brokerage Services, the 2017-2018 Florida Safe Schools Assessment, the Florida fixed Income Trust Enrollment, the application for the Florida Education Investment Trust Fund. Board members will also vote on five policies and three job descriptions.
