Stride of Awareness: Senator Lauren Book’s 1500-Mile Journey for Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Awareness

The community joined Senator Lauren Book for her Walk in My Shoes 1500-mile trek, which started this morning at the Southernmost Point. The walk is aimed at raising awareness during April’s National Sexual Assault Awareness Month as well as Child Abuse Prevention Month. The organization, Lauren’s Kids, has held these walks starting in Key West for many years. The walk will end in Panama City, making over 20 stops along the way.
