Smooth Ride Downtown
Taking advantage of decreased traffic in Key West, the City has finished repaving Duval Street as well as parts of Greene and Front. The fresh new road and shiny striping are ready to welcome back our visitors.
The project, which began in late March, included upgrading curb ramps and driveway cuts to meet ADA standards as well as pouring some sidewalk sections that were in need of replacement. The road was milled and paved from Wall Street to Truman Avenue.
Originally slated to be done by July, crews finished this week, in time for the increased traffic once the Keys open up to visitors on June 1st.
