Slack Tide: A Key West Local Songwriter Showcase

Slack water is a short period in a body of tidal water when the water is completely unstressed, and there is no movement either way in the tidal stream, and which occurs before the direction of the tidal stream reverses. (Wikipedia)

During the Songwriters Festival, an influx of talented performers and fans are added to the musical seascape of Key West. Traditionally, this is a slack time for local musicians and venues not involved with the Songwriters Festival. Slack Tide was created to take advantage of this down time by showcasing our local talent to a new group of music lovers.
