Sheriff’s Office wildlife enforcement cases from 7/7/24

David Silva Enrique Pena, 61, of Miami Gardens, Florida, was given a mandatory notice to appear in court citation for possessing four out-of-season lobster — three of which were undersized — and five undersized lane snapper. Middle Keys Marine Deputy Willie Geurra was conducting resource checks at approximately 3 p.m. near Mile Marker 61 when he observed Pena to be in possession of the illegal wildlife.

Scott Lukachyk, 34, of Myakka City, Florida, was given a mandatory notice to appear in court citation for spearfishing in the Upper Keys. Islamorada Marine Deputy Jason Farr was conducting resource checks near the Indian Key Fill at approximately 1:15 p.m. when he observed Lukachyk spearfishing and in possession of one speared mangrove snapper.

Kenny Ricardo Barrios Martinez, 37, of Miami, Florida, was given a mandatory notice to appear in court citation for possession of one out-of-season lobster. Middle Keys Marine Deputy Willie Geurra was conducting resource checks at approximately 1:57 p.m. near Toms Harber Cut Bridge when he found Barrios Martinez to be in possession of the illegal lobster.
