Sheriff commends service to community
Sheriff Rick Ramsay recognized leaders in two state law enforcement agencies for their service to the community and their commitment to working with the Sheriff’s Office as community partners.
At an awards ceremony held Friday in Marathon, Sheriff Ramsay gave distinguished service awards to Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Kathleen McKinney and Florida Fish and Wildlife Captain Dave Dipre. The two leaders have been instrumental in establishing and maintaining a close working relationship between their agencies and the Sheriff’s Office.
“All three law enforcement agencies work closely when it comes to keeping the community safe and the community can only benefit from close cooperation between us,” said Sheriff Rick Ramsay. He went on to say this partnership is only possible because of the efforts made by Lt. McKinney and Captain Dipre.
“We are all more successful at our jobs when we work together,” he added. “Cooperation, communication and a real commitment to our community is important to all of us.”
