Sheriff buys equipment for crime fighting partners

Sheriff Rick Ramsay presented three GPS / Radar units to Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Captain Dave Dipre on Friday. The equipment, purchased with fine and forfeiture funds and not tax dollars – will help boost the crime fighting abilities of FWC officers as they patrol the waters surrounding the Florida Keys.

“I believe in teamwork and partnerships,” said Sheriff Ramsay. “We all work together here in the Florida Keys and helping FWC do a better job by providing them with this much needed equipment will help us all do a better job of fighting crime in our county. We all have the same mission: keeping our citizens safe.”
