Search for Bank Robber Continues

Key West Police and the FBI continue the search for a man who robbed the Centennial Bank on Whitehead Street at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

A robber entered the bank, implied he had a weapon, and demanded money from a bank employee, then left the bank on foot. There were no injuries. The amount of money taken will not be released at this time.

He is described as an Hispanic male, around 50 years of age, with a medium build and some facial hair. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a maroon windbreaker, gray tennis shoes with a large black line, a red ball cap with a black bill, sunglasses, and jeans. He was seen removing the windbreaker, revealing a light colored t-shirt.
