SCHOOL BOARD TO VOTE ON SCHOOL START TIMES AT MAY 23rd MEETING IN CORAL SHORE

WHO:   School Board Members, Executive Leadership Team, the Public, GEMS Honorees

WHAT: District officials plan to meet with School Board Members to workshop information related to the Interactive Panels for Plantation Key School, and overall Construction Updates throughout the District, which include the groundbreaking at Gerald Adams Elementary, and the Athletic Complex at Marathon High School. Superintendent Mark T. Porter will make his final recommendations for the 2017-2018 School Start Times before it comes before the Board as an action item for the evening. GEMs (Great Educational Moments) in Coral Shores will receive recognition during this meeting. A summer maintenance projects report will be presented during the board meeting.  The items up for discussion in the presentation include the HOB Bus loop construction, HVAC repairs, and upgrades to the high school auditoriums in the District.

Action Items on the agenda include the approval of the Superintendent’s recommendation for Student Information System Coordinator, Michael Michaud; the Superintendent’s recommendation for the approval of 2017-2018 Administrative Recommendations for the 2017-2018 School Year; approval of the 2017-2018 School Board Meeting dates and locations; approval of recommended 2017-2018 school start times.
