SCHOOL BOARD MEETING BROADCAST FROM APRIL 11th NOW AVAILABLE

Key West, Fla. – The Monroe County School District’s April 11th broadcast is now available online at the District’s website and for on demand viewing at Comcast Channel 78. In an effort to continue to provide outstanding public access and transparency every effort was made by the IT staff to restore broadcast capability yesterday afternoon.  They also worked diligently to ensure a quick turnaround with the release of the re-broadcast, once we could not overcome the challenge of troubleshooting during the livestream.

IT officials said an unforeseeable issue in syncing the broadcast, caused the inability to televise, stream, and provide updates via the Comcast Channel 78. During the meeting there were however notices provided via Facebook, the District website, and to the media outlets, in an attempt to provide transparent and open communication, and release of information to various stakeholder groups. We regret the inconvenience of this broadcast failure and are implementing additional redundancies and preventive measures for the future. The involvement of all stakeholders in the Monroe County Schools is greatly appreciated.
