Sanctuary leads marine debris cleanups

Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary seeks volunteers for Goal: Clean Seas Florida Keys marine debris cleanups in the Upper and Lower Keys on Oct. 13, 2018. The Key Largo cleanup will be conducted by kayak 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Space is limited. Contact [email protected] for details. A shoreline cleanup will take place 9 a.m. to noon at Boca Chica Beach on Boca Chica Key. For more information, contact [email protected].

The Goal: Clean Seas Florida Keys initiative was established by Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation in response to the significant amount of marine debris left in the wake of Hurricane Irma.
