The CoffeeMill’s Summer Intensive Series and open drop-in classes for children of all ages and skill levels will begin Monday, June 3 until Friday July 26. Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap, Contemporary, HipHop, Lyrical, Conditioning, and Tumbling classes taught by instructors Joseph Goodman, Kara Querio, Marissa Ajamian, Brittany Granowicz and Alannah Shanle are designed to build strength, coordination, flexibility, performance ability, self-esteem, fitness and friendships while offering practical technique in dance fundamentals. Great for new students just discovering dance, or for students wishing to increase and perfect artistry and technique through the summer.

For teens aged 12 and up (to include adults), CoffeeMill Dance Studio hosts Key West Modern Dance Workshop 2019, a free (for Monroe County residents with a $25 registration fee) one-week modern dance intensive of technique (accompanied by live music), repertory, and composition classes for mixed levels at By the Bay. The program’s faculty this year is KWMD Artistic Director, Maurizio Nardi (Former Principal Dancer, Martha Graham Dance Company) teaching Modern/Graham, Jovani Furlan (Principal Dancer, Miami City Ballet) teaching Ballet & Repertory, and Daniel Gwirtzman (Artistic Director, Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company) teaching Contemporary & Composition. Classes run 10:30am-3:30pm each day at CoffeeMill’s ‘By the Bay’ studio. Please bring water and a healthy snack. (Interested students younger than 12 please contact Penny at 305-296-9982).

Space is limited for all camps, intensives, and workshops so please register early to save your child’s place. Or drop in throughout the summer for a regularly scheduled summer class to explore or continue the development of dance in your child’s world with experienced teachers in a nurturing, supportive, and professional dance studio.  For more information, call the CoffeeMill Dance Studio at 305-296-9982, email [email protected], or visit coffeemilldance.com for a full schedule.
