REEF RELIEF CLEANS UP THE ENVIRONMENT

Reef Relief is proud to announce a highly successful month of marine debris clean ups. Since the beginning of April, Reef Relief has hosted 10 clean ups with over 163 volunteers collecting a total of 1,463.2 lbs. of debris. Most of the debris collected has been in the form of small items such as macro and micro plastics, styrofoam pieces, etc. 

Reef Relief is thankful for the following groups for doing their part to protect our marine ecosystems with us: Immokalee High School Lacrosse Team, The Basilica School, Perry Hotel, Hyatt Centric, Southernmost Beach Resort, The Marker, Kimpton Hotels, Ocean Sothebys, Barclays and American Airlines, and Homeschool pop-up.

Since July 2021, Reef Relief has assisted in removing 5,216.73 lbs of marine debris. To become involved in their clean-up efforts, visit their website to sign up for future volunteer events.
