PUBLIC Sea Turtle Release Saturday June 11th Sombrero Beach at 10:30 a.m.

Join the Turtle Hospital on Saturday, June 11th at Sombrero Beach, Marathon for a public sea turtle release.  Bubbles, a sub-adult loggerhead sea turtle was rescued by Troop 686 on March 15th where she was found floating and unable to dive off of Scout Key.  X-rays revealed an intestinal impaction.  Bubbles was treated with broad spectrum antibiotics, lactulose, vitamins, and a healthy diet of fish and squid.  She is now in good health and ready for release!  The Turtle Hospital ambulance will arrive at the beach with Bubbles at 10:00 a.m.  Bubbles will be released back to her ocean home at 10:30 a.m.  See you there!
