(Marathon, FL) — The 3rd Public Information Officers and Media Symposium was held at the Faro Blanco Resort in Marathon on Monday, May 16, and included 25 participants from across Monroe County. This four-hour long event was an opportunity for Monroe County media and public information officers to share best practices when working with one another and provided critical information about reaching vulnerable populations in the Florida Keys. Additional symposium topics included presentations about the Communications Plan and Hurricane Messaging. This event was made possible by the Keys Health Ready Coalition.
