Please Keep Pets off Playing Fields
The City of Key West wants to remind the community that pets are not allowed on any playing field or play surface. This includes the following in new town: Wickers Field, the Clayton Sterling Baseball Complex, the Rosa Hernandez Girls Softball Field, and Cozumel Park on 16th Terrace. In Old Town, this includes Nelson English Park at the Martin Luther King Community Center, the Truman Waterfront splash pad, the Matthew L. Gilleran Sports Field, and the nearby sports field formerly bearing that name.
Pets on leashes are welcome in City park open areas, and off leash at the popular new dog park at Truman Waterfront Park. The dog park is located between the new Shine Building and the Navy gates. It features a playground/training area with ramps and jumps and tubes. There is also a county dog park at Higgs Beach.
Please be considerate and keep your pets in the proper areas and clean up after them. Together we can all keep Key West clean and beautiful!
