Parade Winners Honored at Meeting

City Manager Jim Scholl and the City Commission last night presented plaques to the winning entries in this year’s Holiday Parade.

  • 1st place: Key West Conchettes
  • 2nd place: Unity of the Keys Spiritual Center
  • 3rd place: Florida Keys Outreach Coalition
  • Honorable Mention: Key West Sports Academy

“It doesn’t work without all the community support,” said Scholl. “It was the best parade I’ve seen since I’ve been here, so thank you all.”

In addition to the hundreds of people who volunteered their time to participate in building and supporting the floats, City officials particularly want to thank Joe Mather, Nancy D’Amato and Lenny Whitley for their tireless and continuous help each year. Gratitude also to the city employees who volunteered their time to make this another memorable parade.
