Package of suspected cocaine found on beach

A Key Largo man picking up trash on a beach at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park Saturday afternoon found a brick of suspected cocaine.

The man informed the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Andersen Harrill found a white, powdery substance inside the brick-sized package.

The case was turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol.
