No reported injuries in Marathon fire

A kitchen fire was reported at 1:34 p.m. in an apartment on the 6400 block of the Overseas Highway in Marathon on Thursday.

There were no reported injuries.

The structure is a two-story commercial building.

A stove was apparently left on. Some other appliances in the kitchen had melted.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
