My Dream World Series

As a lifetime NY Yankee fan I have been called out by many for being hypocritical (or worse) for wearing a Met hat and colors while chanting “Let’s Go Mets!”

Well, there is a back story and a method to my madness.

First the back story:  I have been a Met fan too, since their 1962 inception, had Met season tickets (which explains my son’s Met fandom) and helped my Artist wife Joanne win Banner Day at Shea Stadium in 1964 (pictured).

Now that the Mets have punched their ticket to the next round on Lindor’s clutch slam (see my 10/4 “I Was Wrong!” Blog about him) and with the Yankees win late last night, they clinches too.   We are one step closer!!!

The method to my seeming madness is that I’m rooting for Yankee/Met World Series at which time I will reveal my true colors!
