Multiple Stock Island people arrested in drug warrant sweep
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit and Key West Police along with federal agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration and U.S. Customs and Border Protection served multiple arrest warrants on Stock Island Tuesday.
All the warrants were related to narcotics sales, except for one related to a petty theft case.
Those arrested include:
- Oliver Baro-Vera, 30, Xanax sales
- Yanacye Valasquez, 24, Amphetamines and ecstasy sales
- Griselda Ferrer Morales, 68, cocaine sales
- Janina Ruiz De Sanchez, 53, cocaine sales
- Nelson De La Rosa, 69, cocaine sales
- Derek Queen, 37, OxyContin sales
- Wesley Mote, 49, theft
- Derek Shine, 31, Key West Police warrant for pill sales and resisting arrest without violence
Note: A trafficking amount of amphetamines — approximately 34 grams — were found in Yanacye Valasquez’s possession when she was arrested. She was subsequently charged with that as well.
